One single word title is all that is needed for a murder thriller. Is the leading man in mortal danger? The only way to find out is to download Kept the movie.

Honestly, with 2 kids in the house and my own personal preferences for movie entertainment, I have not watched the movie. But, I have read the synopsis. Thus, if you love a good, tense murder thriller, you may also like this movie.

However, I have also read some impressions of the movie. Some believe it is a lame attempt at the old standard of murder mysteries with the exception of fabricated sex scenes in between. I guess you will have to decide for yourself. Truthfully, this is where I am lost as a viewer. I do not believe certain scenes have to be inserted into a good storyline, in order to give it an “R” rating and capture the audience.

Personally, I believe a good story should stand on its own merits as a great story. Just the suggestion of impropriety to set up the story is enough. But, you will have to judge for yourself.

The premise of the story is centered round a powerful affluent couple that is totally dysfunctional. As a result, the wife uses her power to foster relationships with assistants. Then, these men end up dead. Is she the killer? Is her newest interest in mortal danger?

Of course, the plot is entangled with the growing feelings of her latest love interest. Does he believe she could really be a black widow in disguise? Is her husband in on the crimes, or his he also a hapless victim?

Now, you know as much as I do. Are you going to download Kept the movie? Admittedly, I am curious. Is the lady executive just a lonely woman looking for love? Is she being set up to take the fall for murders she did not commit? Or, is her latest lover being set up to take the fall? Again, there is a question influenced by a viewer’s assessment: is this movie just a cheap knockoff of other movies with intimate scenes advantageously inserted to bump up the ratings? You decide.
