The film is about the central character Victor Frankenstein who is found by ship captain Robert Walton. His growing years see an interest in science that eventually provokes him to break known ground by trying to make non living beings living beings. He puts together an array of body parts to make a successful attempt. His intentions however were to make a more human like ‘beautiful;’ creature and not the ugly horrendous looking living being that he eventually ‘puts together’.
His dream creation turns out be his worst nightmare. One night, he sees the creature (Frankenstein) over his bed while he is sleeping. He wastes no time in fleeing. Frankenstein eventually targets his brother and maid Justine Moritz.
The creature follows him whenever he tries to escape from the trauma of these incidents. It finally meets up with him and tells him it feels lonely and that it needs a female companion which it asks him to create. He obliges but then goes back on his word in fear the female companion might turn out to be as evil as Frankenstein became. After he does this, the creature kills his friend Henry Clerval and wife Elizabeth after which his dad dies too out of the trauma.
