Our Natural Obsession with Actresses

Actresses can brighten up any movie. Whether it is their beauty or there acting talent, actresses can make even the dullest movie seem worth watching. It is hard to fathom that long ago in the acting profession, woman were not even allowed to act. Instead, an actress’s part was played by man. It just goes to show you that men can be really dumb about things from time to time. Thankfully, we got over the whole, watching a stage full of men acting like woman, and now we have come to enjoy the talents that female actresses present to the world.

Almost all of us know who are favorite actresses are and we covet their movies as if they were telling us more than just a simple story. For some woman, actresses become something of a mentor for them. They see the roles these actresses are picking and they read about the kind of person they are and they can’t help but see something of themselves in that woman. Many young women want to grow up to be just like their favorite actress or like one of the characters that actress has played. There really is no denying the power that actresses have over young woman, older woman, and even men. Society as a whole just can’t get enough of their favorite actresses. It is why we have magazines that sell like hotcakes and gossip mongers trying to feed us as much information as they can until we are stuffed.

An actress’s larger than life status is mainly caused by the presence they can radiate. There are some actresses that can just walk into a room and cause everything to slow down. They are the woman that you just want to know. We find them so interesting and we wish that are lives weren’t as mundane even though most actresses lead relatively mundane lives themselves. But regardless of that fact, we still cling to the idea that they represent. We look at them and they really can make us feel like anything is possible.
