In turn, I wonder if the writers and actors also took their craft more seriously. It is solely up to real talent to make or break months or years of work.
So, maybe you will have to endure a black and white film. Maybe it will not have tons of special effects. But, it will definitely showcase the talents of a lot of people who worked hard to bring a little entertainment, especially during a time when folks had so much to worry about in everyday life.
