Vampire Diaries Gets a Full Season : Movie Stars

The CW is showing its two newest dramas some sugar. The Vampire Diaries has received a full-season order (that's a back nine, for all you industry nerds), which means we'll be seeing more wistful glances, pale faces, and long fangs on the tube. Melrose Place has received an order for five more episodes; the back-nine order will depend on the show's ratings after Heather Locklear's forthcoming appearance. Which means we'll be seeing ... more wistful glances, tanned faces, and long bangs on the tube. Does anyone else see a pattern here?
